My Credit Report Account Information Disputed by Consumer

The misconception is as soon as the account reveals in dispute status, this doesn't affect the credit rating. In actuality, there are dozens and dozens of dispute narratives which are known as Persistent Narratives which means they remain on even after the dispute is over. When these narratives are revealing, this doesn't mean the system is bypassing the difference in order not to affect the credit rating but rather the contrary. When these are showing, the system contains these Reporting Accounts as part of the overall equation. However, there's one exception.

Client Disputes - Re investigation in Procedure

The first narrative that's put on a consumers report once an account was contested is Consumer Disputes - Reinvestigation in Procedure. It is only when this story is used that credit scoring systems skip the mind. However, it's important to remember that the two narratives mentioned here are quite easy to become confused, but there's a large difference between them. The first narrative that's posted when a customer files a dispute is only going to stay around until the disagreement was fulfilled from the credit bureaus but although it's present, the account won't count against you. Once the bureau is happy they've achieved a decent investigation, the storyline can be changed into Account Information Disputed by Client, where the account starts to count against your overall credit rating.

Consumers may likely see a fall in the credit rating once the first narrative Consumer Disputes - Reinvestigation in Process, is eliminated. For an example, if a charge-off was being bypassed while it was in the first dispute procedure however the initial dispute procedure is now over, the credit rating will probably go down because of the fact that the charge-off is now fair game and being counted against you more, despite the fact that you might still be in the process of challenging the accounts. There are times when the credit agencies will allow a consumer to continue to dispute and accounts numerous times in succession and allow for the first story Consumer Disputes - Reinvestigation, to stay on the report. But in my experience from working with customers on this issue, the agencies will typically set a Persistent Narrative after the first or second try at disputing the account.
